From June 2000 to May 2001, Mark worked as an Infrastructure Architect for VisionPlanner, a Mountain View, California-based corporation with a branch office in Bangalore, India. His roles included leading the technical development of VisionPlanner’s ASP solution, which involved designing the network and server architectures and managing multiple competitive procurement cycles to source the necessary data center services and equipment. Mark also managed VisionPlanner’s corporate technology deployment, which involved traveling to India to implement their development lab's network and computing infrastructures.

From May 1999 to June 2000, Mark worked for Deloitte Consulting as a Consultant in their technology infrastructure group, delivering professional consulting services to Fortune 500 corporations.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (Communications Option) from the University of Victoria, and Technologist and Technician Diplomas in Electronics and Electrical Engineering Technology, both from RCC College of Technology in Toronto.
